PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

People come to the Master Hypnotist Society (MHS) for many reasons. Some people want a fulfilling career helping others. Some want financial freedom. Some are already working in the helping fields, and want a more effective set of skills. Others, are just fascinated by hypnosis and want the most effective and advanced training available. No matter what your path to MHS, I want to welcome you, and tell you that you’ve made the right choice.

My name is Daniel Burow and I’m the President of MHS. I have a doctorate in counseling psychology and have been a licensed psychologist for more than 20 years. I was trained in hypnosis and supervised by several of Milton Erickson’s personal students and I went on to write my dissertation on Ericksonian hypnosis and psychotherapy supervision. I’ve spent the last 15 years as a C-suite executive with two the nations largest behavioral health providers. During my work in the mental health field I’ve trained, supervised, and managed somewhere around a thousand mental health clinicians working across multiple service lines in more than twenty states. I have a documented record of training effective clinicians, growing successful programs/practices and growing revenue.

To give you some history, the MHS was started by Scott McFall, one of the most effective and experienced hypnotists and trainers in the United States today. Scott owned and operated the largest chain of hypnosis clinics in the upper Midwest and went on to become a premier hypnosis trainer, as well as a business/success consultant working with everyone from physicians, to military personal, to social media entrepreneurs.

Scott has dedicated his life to the field of hypnosis, working to make it more ethical, professional and effective. He started the MHS by hand picking the most experienced and effective hypnotists in the U.S. and Canada. Then he brought them together as the basis of an organization focused on training, certifying and supporting a community of hypnotists that share the same set of values…be ethical, be professional and be effective.

The MHS trainer group is truly extraordinary. They are, without doubt, the most dedicated, experienced, effective and successful hypnotists anywhere. Each of them a full time, financially successful, hypnotist and trainer. They’re dedicated to the field of hypnosis, and the success of everyone in the MHS. Spread across North America, they offer effective hypnosis services, as well as the highest quality training mentorship and consulting to lay people and professionals alike.

The MHS is a select group. It engages, enrolls and trains only the most dedicated. MHS membership and training is demanding. All of it based on a single idea. Practice, take feedback, learn, change and practice again… until you can display competence. The intention of the MHS is to train, certify and support only those who want to be ethical, professional and effective hypnotists. The bar is set very high.

If you’re ready to be one of the best, I want to be the first to welcome you. You’ve chosen to be part of a group, and a process, that I promise you will change your life… literally. Once you start to walk this path, nothing will be the same again. You’ll learn amazing skills, you’ll make personal changes that you can’t even imagine, and all the while, you’ll have the support of an incredible group of professionals all of whom want you to succeed. The MHS has changed my life, and I want it to change yours.

The goal of the MHS is to give you great training, effective skills and a community that will support your ongoing learning and development. We want you to be part of a culture of excellence, led by hypnotists that have a proven track record of success. We want to train and support you as you learn a system that includes not only effective hypnosis skills but also training in all aspects of business, advertising, marketing and practice management. In other words, the goal of MHS is to help you be a successful, professional hypnotist, who can provide the ethical, effective and professional hypnosis services to people who need them. If you’re ready, we want to hear from you today!

Welcome to the MHS!

-Daniel Burow

Daniel Burow’s Credentials

Daniel is an owner and senior executive of for-profit healthcare and mental health operations across the United States. He started his career as a Professor of Psychiatry at the University of South Dakota School of Medicine. He left this position to become a founding partner and Vice President of Operations at Curaquick, one of the nation’s first retail health care chains providing flat fee basic healthcare services in retails settings. After working with his partners to expand Curaquick to 21 locations in 4 states, he went on to become the Chief Clinical Officer at Deer Oaks Mental Health. Daniel was part of the management team that took Deer Oaks from 180 clinicians in 9 states to 360 clinicians in 19 states. Daniel left Deer Oaks to take the position of Vice President of Operations with Medoptions, at the time, the nation’s largest provider of behavioral health services in rehabilitation and long-term care. At Medoptions he worked with a staff of more than 600 Social Workers, Psychologists and Psychiatrists providing care in 21 states across multiple service lines. While at Medoptions, Daniel managed the integration of one of the largest mental health acquisitions ever completed. Daniel left Medoptions in 2017 and returned to South Dakota to establish Daniel Burow Consulting as well as Sioux Falls Hypnosis. He now devotes his time to his real passion, helping people achieve their goals as well as consulting with, and training clinicians, managers, sales people and business owners all over the United States, helping them to become more effective change workers and more successful business managers and owners. Daniel developed his business and clinical skills in the for-profit world of healthcare where choices are either effective or they must change, immediately. Years spent in this environment allowed Daniel to develop an effective approach to change as well as a unique approach to training therapists that is focused on practice and experience rather than knowledge and information.

Daniel is the author of two books:

  • Rebels Poets and Mystics: Challenging the truth of a spiritual life.
  • A Bigger Picture
